Adams Pecan Prinkles

  • 1/2 cup Shortening, soft
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 tsp 'ADAMS BEST" VANILLA
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR
  • 1 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbl Sugar
  • 1 Tbl ADAMS GROUND CINNAMON
  • 1 cup + 2 Tbl Flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp Soda
  • 1/2 cup Pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together well the shortening, sugar, egg, "ADAMS BEST" VANILLA and ADAMS BUTTER FLAVORING. Sift together the flour , soda, cream of tartar and salt and stir into the mixture. Fold in the pecans. Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts. Mix together the sugar and ADAMS GROUND CINNAMON, then roll balls into this mixture. Place the balls about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes until lightly browned. At first these cookies puff up, then later flatten out. Makes about 2 dozen.
