Adams Prize Winning Pound Cake

» Batter

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 lb. Butter
  • 9 Eggs
  • 2-2/3 cups Sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Adams Butter Flavoring
  • 1 tsp. "Adams Best" Vanilla
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Adams Pure Lemon Extract
Use two bowls to mix this cake. In one bowl mix together the flour and butter and work until it is creamy. In second bowl, mix eggs and sugar, beating well. Combine egg and sugar with butter mixture. Add baking powder, salt, butter flavoring, lemon, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly. Pour into large tube pan. Bake 1 hour in 300 degree oven.
