Adams 75th Anniversary Pound Cake

Notes: Another Betty Adams Recipe for the 75th Anniversary!

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs well beaten
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1 tsp ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR
  • 1 tsp ADAMS COCONUT FLAVOR
  • 1 tsp ADAMS LEMON EXTRACT
  • 1 tsp ADAMS RUM FLAVOR
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs. Blend flour, salt, baking powder. Alternately add milk and flour mixture to creamed ingredients. Stir in all ADAMS FLAVORS and EXTRACTS (Vanilla, Butter, Coconut, Lemon, and Rum). Pour in greased 10 inch bundt or tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick inserted comes clean.

To make the optional Five Flavor Glaze: In saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon of each of the 5 extracts. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cover cake with glaze while still warm.
