Adams Almond Nut (pecans) Cake

Notes: Another Betty Adams recipe!

» Batter

  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2-1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1-1/8 cup oil
  • 2 Tbl ADAMS PURE ALMOND EXTRACT
  • 2 tsp ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1 Tbl ADAMS IMMITATION BUTTER
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups nuts, (pecans) chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a large bundt or stem pan. Combine eggs, oil, milk, sugar and flavorings and beat well. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Blend in flour mixture and nuts. Pour into pan and evenly distribute the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Insert toothpick in center to check for doneness. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Combine ingredients for glaze. Apply glaze to cake with pastry brush

» Glaze

  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS PURE ORANGE EXTRACT
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS PURE ALMOND EXTRACT
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS IMMITATION BUTTER
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
