Adams "Original" Red Velvet Pancakes with Cream Cheese Glaze

Notes: Make these beautiful pancakes for your loved ones! Makes 16 pancakes.

» Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • up to 3 Tbl milk
Bring cream cheese to room temperature. Mix all ingredients, except milk, together. Add milk, 1 Tablespoon at a time, until glaze reaches desired consistency.

» Batter

  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 Tbl sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 Tbl butter, melted
  • 1 Tbl Cocoa
  • 1 tsp ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp ADAMS RED FOOD COLOR
Put all dry ingredients into large bowl. Mix in buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla and red food color. Lastly, add in vinegar and mix well. Heat pan or skillet over medium heat. If pan is non stick, it will need to be oiled or buttered. Scoop 1/4 cup batter and put in center of heated pan. Cook until edges begin to pull away and batter begins to bubble in the middle. Flip pancake and cook until second side is browned. Cover pancakes with Maple Cream Cheese Glaze. Chocolate chips can be added to batter or placed on top of the pancakes along with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. Red Velvet Pancakes
