Cupcakes - Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes

Notes: Makes about 14-16 cupcakes

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1 teaspoon ADAMS NATURAL & ARTIFICIAL ALMOND EXTRACT
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries (reserve liquid)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup butter
In bowl sift all dry ingredients together. In separate bowl cream together butter and sugar. Mix sour cream, eggs, vanilla, almond extract, and about 1/2 jar of cherry juice together. Mix dry ingredients into wet mixture. Fill lined muffin tin about 3/4 full. Top with your choice of icing, chocolate sauce and a cherry.
