Venison Chili

Serves: 10

  • 2 lbs coarse ground venison
  • 1 Tbsp salad oil
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup ADAMS CHOPPED ONION (minced or diced okay)
  • 6-8 Tbsp ADAMS CHILI POWDER
  • 4 Tbsp ADAMS PAPRIKA
  • 1 Tbsp ADAMS MULTI SEASON
  • 4 tsp ADAMS GROUND CUMIN
  • 1/4 tsp ADAMS ALLSPICE
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS GARLIC POWDER
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS MALABAR GROUND BLACK PEPPER
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS RUBBED SAGE
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 14.5 oz cans chopped tomatoes
  • ADAMS CAYENNE PEPPER to taste, if desired
Ina large skillet, brown venison in oil. Transfer to a large pot. Add in all remaining ingredients. Mixture will thicken as it cooks. Simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Makes enough for 8-10 main dish servings. Tastes even better the second day.
