Maple Acorn Squash

  • 1 to 1 1/4 lb squash (whole)
  • brown sugar
  • butter
  • 1/8 tsp Adams Mapel Extract
Place whole 1-1 1/4 pound squash in a 10" x 6" baking dish. Microwave at full power for 2 minutes. Halve squash and remove seeds and membrane. Place squash, cut side down in same baking dish. Microwave at full power (High) for 3 minutes. Turn squash cut side up and rearrange. Spoon a little brown sugar and butter (or margarine) and 1/8 teaspoon of Adams Mapel Extract into the center of each squash. Cover with wax paper. Microwave at full power (High) for 3-4 minutes or until tender.
