Adams Best Vanilla
This is how we started! Our Adams Best Vanilla doesn't bake or freeze out and enhances a variety of desserts, puddings, cakes, custards, creams, ice cream, and cookies. Don't say Vanilla, Say Adams Best. Enjoy!

| Crisp Chocolate Cookies |

- 1/2 cup Shortening
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR
- 2 Tbl ADAMS CHOCOLATE EXTRACT
- 1 cup Flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp Soda
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Nuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream shortening, sugars, egg, ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR and ADAMS CHOCOLATE EXTRACT
until light and fluffy. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Sir into creamed mixture. Blend well. Add nuts. Grease cookie sheet. Drop one level teaspoonful 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
Yield: About 3 1/2 Dozen
