Poppy Seed Almond Cake

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ADAMS ALMOND EXTRACT
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR
Preheat oven to 350 degrees . Spray a bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray and dust with flour. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir with a whisk to combine. In the bowl of your mixer, combine the sugar, milk, vegetable oil, eggs, Adams Almond Extract, Adams Butter Flavor, Adams Best Vanilla and poppy seeds.  Mix well to combine. Slowly add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and mix just until combined.  Pour the batter into athe prepared bundt pan and bake for1 hour. Remove the cake from the over and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a serving platter.


  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ADAMS ALMOND EXTRACT
  • 1/2 teaspoon ADAMS BUTTER FLAVOR
  • 1/2 teaspoon ADAMS BEST VANILLA
While the cake is cooling, combine the ingredients for the glaze in a small bowl. Stir with a whisk until smooth.  Using a skewer, punch 20-30 holes into the cake.  Brush the glaze onto the cake.  Serve and enjoy!
