Ingredients:
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 tsp ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1/2 tsp ADAMS BANANA EXTRACT
  • 4 eggs, whole
  • 3-1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 6 bananas (small, ripe)
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
Directions:
Cream together first four ingredients. Add eggs one at a time. Sift together flour, soda and salt and add alternately with milk. Mash bananas and add, then add nuts. Bake for 1-1/2 hours at 325 degrees. In a 10" stem pan that has been greased and dusted with flour. Or, bake for 1 hour 10 minutes in 2 loaf pans.
