Ingredients:

1 tsp "ADAMS BEST" VANILLA
3/4 cup Shortening
1 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 cup Dark Corn Syrup
2 cups Flour, unsifted
1 1/2 tsp ADAMS ALLSPICE
2 tsp ADAMS GROUND CINNAMON
2 tsp Soda
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thoroughly blend shortening, sugar, egg, corn syrup and "ADAMS BEST" VANILLA. Gently stir in flour, ADAMS ALLSPICE, ADAMS GROUND CINNAMON and soda. Grease cookie sheet. Roll dough into balls the size of large pecans. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. While still warm, dip cookies in powdered sugar. Shake off excess sugar. Yield: about 4 1/2 dozen 2" diameter cookies
