Prep Time/Cook Time:

10 minutes / 6 hours

Place beans in a large pot and rinse several times.  Add water, onion, and garlic.  Cover and cook on medium for 2 hours.  Add ham bone, ham and bay leaves.  Cook, covered, to a creamy consistency, about 3 to 4 hours.  Salt and pepper to taste.  Make white rice as directed.  Mix and serve.
