Ginger Ice Cream

This recipe can be used in ice cream maker or placed directly in freezer and scooped after hardened.


1/2 gallon



Prep Time/Cook Time:

15 minutes / 60 minutes

  • 1/2 teaspoon crystallized ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ADAMS BEST VANILLA
  • 1 teaspoon ADAMS GROUND GINGER
  • 1 Large can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 gallon whole milk
Beat eggs in electric mixer until they are light in color. Add sugar to eggs and beat at high speed until mixture is thick. Add "ADAMS BEST" VANILLA, ADAMS GROUND GINGER, salt and evaporated milk; continue beating until sugar is dissolved. Mix thoroughly into the whole milk. Mix in crystallized ginger. Put in Ice Cream maker or freeze and scoop.
