Adams Lemon Pecan Cake

Ingredients:

1/2 lb Shortening
2 Cups flour
1 1/4 Cups brown sugar
2 Cups pecans (cut up)
3 eggs (beat separate)
1/4 cup milk
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp Adams Butter Flavoring
1 tsp "Adams Best" Vanilla
1/2 OZ Adams Lemon Extract

Directions:

Whip egg whites to hold a peak. Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquids. Add Lemon Flavor; then fold in egg whites. Cook at 300 degrees in stem pan about one hour and forty minutes. Do not cook too dry.
