In small bowl, whisk together milk and egg. In a dish, mix together flour, cornmeal, and spices. Dredge shrimp in dry mixture, then wet, then back to dry. Add shrimp in batches to heated peanut oil. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until shrimp begin to float and have a pink color under batter. Remove from oil and place on paper towel to drain, sprinkle with salt to taste.
