Yucatan Rojo Rub
Inspired by one of the oldest cooking methods in the world, Cooking Coaches Mario Garcia, Nicole Washington and Alejandro Rodriguez won our 3rd annual "Quick Cook Fire Challenge" with the creation of this rub. Cochinita pibil is a classic traditional Mexican recipe for slow-roasted pork. With a vivid burnt orange color this rub delivers the rich flavor of annatto, garlic and pepper that comes straight out of the Yucatán Peninsula and into your favorite slow cooked meat or stew recipes.
Ingredients: salt, garlic, black pepper, spices, habanero, annatto and oil of lemon.
